French Tech Sofia gives France’s startup network a local home in Bulgaria
French Tech Sofia is the official French Tech hub in Sofia, but it reads less like a formal outpost and more like a working community. Organized as an NGO, it brings together founders, operators, investors, and startup supporters from both the French and Bulgarian scenes, turning a well-known international label into something local, visible, and active.
Its character comes from the way it gathers people rather than from any single program. French Tech Sofia creates a regular meeting point in the city through English-language events, practical conversations, and informal networking that make cross-border connections feel immediate and personal. That gives it a clear identity: not a startup service provider, and not just a badge of affiliation, but a community platform that keeps the France-Bulgaria startup relationship in motion.
